Braven Takes On Ragnar Relay Wasatch Back in Utah

As proud sponsors of Ragnar Relay events, we felt there was no better way to be seen, or heard, than running the race ourselves. In addition to a good excuse to get outdoors, Ragnar’s Wasatch Back event served as an ideal environment for the new Braven 105 Active Series speaker.

It all kicked off on Thursday with the official Ragnar pre-race party. At the Braven booth, we offered our “Borrow a Braven” program, giving runners the chance to test drive a BRV-X free of charge. We were also selling the new Braven 105, giving “Ragnarians” an exlusive chance to get their hands on our newest Active Series speaker.

If you haven’t participated in a Ragnar Relay, here is the quick run down: teams of 12, cover a massive total of 200 miles in just two days. How is that possible? The course is broken up into several legs, with one team member running at a time, than handing off a baton to the next. The race also doesn’t stop. Team members sleep in their van or at checkpoints and participate around the clock.

The Braven 105 proved to be the perfect running companion. We just looped the speakers around our Nathan Sports Packs; turns out music and lots of water is all you need.

Bryce 105

James Lawrence, better known as the Iron Cowboy, picked up a Braven 105 and rocked out.  For those who don’t know, James is the first and only man in the world to complete fifty Iron Man Triathlons, in fifty different states, in fifty consecutive days. After this feat, he called Ragnar a “fun run”. We are honored to have such a legend use our gear!

Iron Cowboy

Team Braven in the home stretch. We may have not kept up with the Iron Cowboy, but were happy with our performance. After covering 200 miles in just 31 hours, it was time to take a real shower and eat something other than trail mix.

Thanks to Ragnar Relay for a great time, and to all the rad people we met along the journey.  We can confidently say that Team Braven is #BuiltForTheRide.  See you at Great River!
