Braven Sponsors the Street League Skateboarding World Tour: Munich, Germany

SLS Munich Course

As an official sponsor of Street League Skateboarding (SLS), we headed Munich Germany along with Team Braven skateboarders Manny Santiago, and Tom Asta, to hype the crowd up with product giveaways and watch the world’s best skateboarders battle it out in the Olympic Park.

Prelim heats kicked off at 1:30 PM and the guys came out swinging, knowing that only the top eight would advance to the finals. Team Braven skateboarder Tom Asta understands the contest format well, executing tricks consistently and scoring an impressive 32.5, ending up in 3rd place. Joining Asta in the finals were Nyjah Huston and Shane O’Neill, ranked 2nd and 1st, respectively.

After the Prelims, Braven Skateboarder Manny Santiago came by the Braven Booth for a signing with his fans. Coming off a recent ankle surgery, Manny always finds ways to give back to his fans despite not skating the contest.

If you know anything about Manny, you know he is good at entertaining people with his dance moves. Before the finals on Saturday, Manny hosted a “Dab” contest with the crowd, awarding the winners with a Braven BRV-1M.

After Manny’s Dab contest, the top eight qualifiers headed back to the course for finals. In usual SLS fashion, there was plenty of excitement. Up until the end, Nyjah Huston, Shane O’Neill and Tom Asta were neck-in-neck for the top three spots. Paul Rodriguez, came through in the Best Trick section however, and the SLS veteran scored a 34, taking him all the way from 6th place, to 1st.
