BRAVEN BRV-1BRAVEN Signs As Exclusive Audio Sponsor Of The 2016 AOS, Australia’s Largest Surf, Skate & Music and Art Festival

On February 27th, the world’s most talented surfers will descend upon Sydney’s iconic Manly Beach for the nine day event. In the end, only one men’s and women’s champion will be crowned, but the implications of the Australian Open of Surfing go far beyond Sydney. As a stop on the Qualifying Series, success at Manly Beach can mean landing a spot on the World Tour, alongside the likes of John John Florence, Gabriel Medina and Carissa Moore.

The competition kicks of this Saturday, with droves of medal hungry groms set to battle in the Sydney Grom Challenge, and ends with the men’s and women’s pro finals on Sunday March 6th.

World class surfing isn’t the only attraction at the AOS. Just steps from the water is the GoPro Beach Bowl, where all week, locals, and vetted pros alike will be skating the burly-sized bowl ramp, ending with a high air and best trick contest on the final day.

On Friday and Saturday night, headliners Cloud Control and Angus & Julia Stone will be taking over the MTV Music Stage to get the night kicked off right.

For those lucky enough to attend the event, you can come visit us near the Beach Bowl on Saturday & Sunday the 5th & 6th, where we will be giving out BRAVEN discount codes valid at JB HiFi stores and online orders, as well as raffling off a few BRAVEN speakers signed by AOS competitors.

BRAVEN is beyond stoked to be a sponsor of the Australian Open of Surfing, and to support the surfing scene in Australia. BRAVEN has always been about pushing ourselves, and our product to the limits, while letting our creativity and love of music and action sports drive innovation.  To us, the AOS gives us the opportunity to bring our brand to life in a mecca of sports and music culture.
